Did you know?

Great news! Since we launched Yahoo! Answers, over 1 billion questions and answers have been posted from across the world. It’s a huge number but the way we see it, it’ s a true testimony of how great of a community-driven knowledge website Answers is.
Did you know that:
• The Answers community counts over 179 million users. That’s more than half the population in the United States!
• Yahoo! Answers is available in 26 markets and is translated in 12 languages. From English to Japanese, we’ve got you covered!
• Every day, an average of 15 million users visit the site. That’s how many people visit Disneyland every year!
As we strive to make Answers the best source to find and share information, we always take your feedback into account and greatly appreciate your efforts in helping us fight abuse. Remember to regularly visit our blog for announcements and advice on how to make the best out of Answers. We thank all of you for helping us reach that landmark.
How can we improve your experience on Answers?

I love Yahoo Answers. But I think the moderators who delete reported questions can be biased when making their decision to delete a question.
I made an unoffensive and harmless poll, asking everyone if they were in favour or opposed to banning of Islamic activities in their country, and the deportation of all Muslims.
That question was deleted.
I asked a question if anyone else was unemployed and disliked “affirmative action”.
That question was deleted.
Yahoo Answers should equally represent and be free to both sides of the political spectrum, not just the left.
But overall, Yahoo Answers is awesome.
Happy Billionth! (Question!)
This is super. I love answers. Keep up the good work
I want to be a member of your web site.
I want to be in contact with you permanently..
One of best things about Yahoo answers is not only can you help people in your area of expertise. You also learn and research many more things along the way. It’s a good way to keep learning all the time.
You’ve got the quantity, but where is the quality?
The standard of questions is particularly appalling in the science-related forums. Scientific truth is not generally subject to debate, a point completely lost on this system.
The reporting/violation system makes the USSR under Stalin look like a tea party.
Congrats, keep up the good work!
Congrats!
I absolutely agree with what Fighting Flames (the first respondant) has already stated.
Before Yahoo gives itself a collective pat on the back for reaching the 1 billion mark, they should also be accountable for some of their own actions.
Why did you get rid of our 360 accounts? Why is it so easy to get a question or answer removed and yet so difficult to dispute it?
I lost an account nearly 6 months ago. Naturally, I wrote back asking as to why it was done and requesting to have that account restored.
I was always mindful of the terms of service. To make a long story short, I NEVER received any reply.
I personally think that those who report should have to be accountable for their actions. I am usually on R & S and it is very easy for a group of individuals to gang up and have account removed simply because they do not like the Q & A of a particular individual..
As long as a Q & A is in good taste and does not violate any rules why is this allowed to happen over and over again?
I love R & S and have met some truly amazing people as a result of it.
Congrats Yahoo – but please DO more research and please LISTEN to those of us who do dispute and take that into consideration. It is much too easy to delete an account than to take the time to investigate first.
Thank you for reading this.
So who cares, they won’t get any of the questions out of me,but i still will contunie to answer.
Congratulations!
Are you counting the violated questions in this?
If not, according to my stats, it would be 2 billion.
Well, Bravo, but half the questions are ridiculously stupid. Just throwing that out there. It would really be a huge jump if all the questions had meaning, and were helpful in some way, but half the questions consist of Twilight questions, and asking “Am I pretty?” Honestly, search bar ‘Twilight’ and ‘Am I Pretty?’ and there’s half your questions.
Anyways, take my feeback into consideration. Make new sections. It’s so limited, it’s sometimes hard to find where to post a question, and then we don’t get many answers.
Make a section for writers to post their work. I’m tired of people posting their stories in Books and Authors, when it has nothing to do with what that category is about.
I lost an account due to Answer y! 5 years ago…precious memories i had in that account, gone
I personally think Yahoo Answers needs to improve itself all the way. I don’t know if they’re ignoring all those insults which people post up in the R&S and Ramadan Section against the Muslims. In fact, all these insults are not only towards Muslims but also to those who simply believe in God. They insult us and that’s the only thing they ever do on Y!A…
If the Answers team wants to have the good website they think they already have, then they should really consider looking into the unacceptable condition of the R&S section..!
And they should also take a look at the Science sections, I sometimes go there and answer questions, post up my own questions and such, but the section is no way comparable to people posting up their so called “strong opinions” against other groups and such.
Take a good look at yourselves Y!A team, you’re going nowhere if you don’t have quality. Quantity is not the most important thing you know?!
Hey every one in a merry christmas to all of u
