It’s Bonus time: Get Double Points for Your Answers Now!
For a strictly limited period, you can earn an extra 2 points for every question you answer.
‘Tis the time of year for saying “thank you”, giving gifts and rewarding hard work. Our way of saying “thank you” to you, the Yahoo! Answers community – for your hard work this year – comes in the form of this special bonus. Yes, it’s DOUBLE POINTS for every question you answer– four instead of two.
Why are we doing this?
We know you enjoy earning points on Yahoo! Answers, especially to move up through the levels. But we also know it can feel like slow progress at times, like a marathon… So, for a short while, we’re giving you the chance to sprint! With double points up for grabs, it’s a golden opportunity for you to make some big gains and go for the next level.
Has it started already? When does it end?
It’s live now from December 6st and will last for a limited period of time. Want to know when it will end? Well, we’re going to keep that a secret for now…
However, if you follow us on Twitter we’ll give regular updates of how long is left…
We’ll also notify you here, on the blog, as soon as it closes. In the meantime, make the most of it!

Travel time on Answers!
It’s August and whether you are planning a holiday to some great, exotic locale or are just back from one, Answers is the place to celebrate your vacation! This month, we are doing a special initiative in the Travel category where we invite you to share your fondest memories of landscapes, cityscapes, seascapes and skyscapes through your travel stories and anecdotes.
Spread over four weeks, with each week catering to one particular theme, this initiative will showcase the best holiday destinations and the most awesome travel stories that come from you! So start working on that travelogue of yours and include details like places to stay, things to see, best shopping deals and the like. And don’t forget to tell us why it is among your favourite holiday destinations! We’ll be awarding 50 bonus points for the best story each week.

Once you post your picture there, remember to leave us a comment with the Flickr link on the blog, or add the link in your answer. At the end of four weeks, your story and photograph could be featured on our blog.

- Log in to http://www.flickr.com/
- Sign up for Flickr with your Yahoo! id if you don’t have a Flickr account already
- Join the Groups (whose links are mentioned above)
- Upload your Travel photos there
- Copy the link of your photo and use that in your answer!

He is the second most capped England player in history, scoring in three FIFA World Cups. However, David’s name now stretches beyond just football –in recent years, his name has also become synonymous with style, fashion, and recently, through his work as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, he has become known as a key advocate of charity work.
